K got a message from a friend who needed help with getting
her dog to the vet to be put down. He went to help and support her with that.
We went for a walk. We stopped at the Walmart to return Red Box videos then
followed irrigation canals until we had a 4-mile walk under our belts.
We got back to the house about the same time as K did. We
made sandwiches for lunch then K and I repotted some of the cacti on his porch.
We fed Max (his tortoise) some goodies and generally puttered until it was time
to make supper.
I made a Cuban Mojo marinade from the sour oranges in K’s
yard, garlic, black pepper, sea salt to put on the steelhead trout we bought at
the store. We had basmati rice with onion, garlic powder and black eyed peas. K
made salads with lettuces, beets, and carrots as well as an artichoke for each
of us. It was a feast!
We watched a movie (Blackway) that was kind of odd. We tried
to watch The Accountant but the disc was in such bad shape that we gave up on
it.
